Product Abstract: Chamomile, a member of the daisy family, is an annual native to Europe and Western Asia, growing up to 90-125 cm with very hairy leaves and yellow tubular flowers surrounded by white ligulets. The term ‘chamomile’ originates from the Greek word ‘chamomaela’ or ‘ground apple,’ reflecting the plant’s low growth and the apple-like scent of its fresh blooms. Used for centuries, chamomile symbolized the omnipotence of the Egyptian god Ra, was one of nine sacred herbs to the Saxons, and served as a strewing herb in Medieval Europe.
